cellular respiration is how the cell makes useable energy.  When we eat food we take in 3 types of energy molocules carbohydrates (sugars), Protein and fats.  Our bodies use a type of energy called ATP to do most of the work inside our tissues and organs. Cellular respiration is the process of converting energy from food into usable ATP energy which can be used by the cell.  If you need more details feel free to ask another question or comment here.  I hope this makes sense. Cellular respiration is just when cells make energy.

A number of stages and chemical reactions are undergone to break down certain molecules to get energy, and then store them into certain molecules. These molecules can be broken within the cell to release energy where it is needed.
